Research Interests

Dr. Bourke is a vertebrate paleontologist who uses functional morphology to investigate methods of thermoregulation and paleophysiology in dinosaurs and their modern-day relatives (birds and reptiles). Dr. Bourke runs a research laboratory in the Lab Sciences building at Arkansas State University. His research incorporates a mix of animal dissections and the computational engineering methods of Finite Element Analysis (FEA) and Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD).
