The Department of Biological Sciences serves students desiring to gain a broad background in biology, botany, environmental biology, zoology, or wildlife ecology and management. This preparation qualifies students for professional work in health professions, teaching, research, industry, or for graduate study.
Students choosing an emphasis in Evolution, Ecology, and Organismal Biology (EEOB) will explore the development and origin of species, how organisms adapt to their environments, and interactions within ecosystems. Graduates of this program could be prepared for careers in research, conservation, and environmental management, or for further graduate or professional studies.
