RESTORE Hub

How We Make a Difference
Our Current and Emerging Initiatives

Statewide Transition Infrastructure & The NSIGHT Alliance
The RESTORE Hub serves as the foundational footprint for the NSIGHT (Natural State for Inclusive Groups in Higher Education and Transition) Alliance, functioning as a statewide coordinating center. Backed by federal TPSID (Transition and Postsecondary Programs for Students with Intellectual Disabilities) funding, this initiative builds collective impact models across Arkansas institutions to scale inclusive postsecondary education (IPSE) frameworks, align transition standards, and improve long-term outcomes for historically underserved learners.
Another key effort is to guide the opening and establishment of two new Inclusive Postsecondary Education (IPSE) programs within the state of Arkansas. We have partnered with Arkansas State University-Mountain Home and University of Arkansas at Pine Bluff to open two new IPSE programs based on A-State's H.O.W.L. Transition Program.
The RESTORE Hub also oversees the 2 IPSE programs, the HOWL Transition Program and ATLAS Transition Program. Both programs serve as technical assistance to new programs across the state.

Technological Innovation
The RESTORE Hub positions Arkansas State University at the intersection of inclusive design, advanced computing, and human-centric technology by serving as a global testbed for scaling enterprise-level systems that eliminate environmental and cognitive barriers in competitive integrated employment, rural health, and higher education. Because these platforms process complex personal and institutional data, all deployments are engineered from the ground up with advanced data analytics and rigorous cyber assurance; built in alignment with the State of Arkansas AI Safety, Security, and Trust guidelines.

Holistic Well-Being & Systemic Equity: Integrating Education, Health, and Mental Wellness
True systemic inclusion cannot be achieved through vocational or academic training alone; it requires a foundational commitment to the interconnected pillars of educational equity, physical health, and psychological well-being. The RESTORE Hub recognizes that stable mental health and accessible healthcare are absolute prerequisites for sustained independent living and competitive integrated employment. By embedding evidence-based mental health practices, and wellness tracking directly into our educational and transition programs, the Hub actively works to reduce situational anxiety, prevent burnout, and foster long-term emotional resilience. Furthermore, this comprehensive approach addresses systemic health disparities by equipping participants with skills crucial for navigating complex healthcare systems. By breaking down the traditional silos between health services, psychological care, and academic programming, the Hub establishes a replicable model that nurtures the whole individual supporting a lifetime foundation of health, equity, and personal fulfillment.

Evaluation & Systemic Acuity
The Hub manages rigorous, data-driven program evaluations and technical assistance frameworks for large-scale state contracts. This includes overseeing the implementation fidelity and evaluation metrics for grants, alongside collaborative research initiatives and service delivery optimization across widespread provider networks. We work with faculty and staff at A-State but also other organizations and institutions.
Our Mission
The RESTORE Hub strives to improve quality of life across communities through integrated research, education, services, transition, innovation, and collaboration.
The RESTORE Hub at Arkansas State University serves as a critical engine for implementation science, data-driven evaluation, and systemic infrastructure building across the state. By bridging the gap between research-backed models and community-level execution, the Hub ensures that statewide health, mental health, educational, transition, and workforce initiatives achieve both high fidelity and long-term sustainability.
